ALEM in association with the Door & Hardware Federation (DHF) have developed a Level 2 Award in Dock Leveller Safety. This course will be launched on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 at the DHF’s Head Office-based academy in Shuttington.
After completing the course, delegates will have the knowledge to:
- Recognise the different types of dock levellers and their potential hazards
- Apply the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations
- Identify and specify the safety requirements of dock levellers
- Understand the requirements for essential marking and providing instructions to the end user
- Determine the requirements for effective dock leveller maintenance, inspection and repair
- Identify residual hazards and deal with non-compliance issue
